About Danielle

Danielle is a Los Angeles–based pianist, educator, and founder of Issimo Music Hall. She is an active performer who has appeared in concert venues throughout the United States and abroad, including her 2022 debut at Carnegie Hall. Praised for her “uniquely creative and transcendent artistic interpretations,” Danielle has received numerous honors, including the Jury Distinction Award in the Progressive Musicians International Piano, Violin & Guitar Competition, recognition in the James Ramos International Video Competition and the Bay Area Piano Competition,  the MTAC Solo Competition, and CAPMT Outstanding Member State Recognition Award in 2021. In 2023, she scored the short film Flower Girl, which premiered at the Midwest Film Festival.

Danielle earned her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach, where she was named a Cole Scholar and Distinguished Graduate Honoree while studying with Professor Althea Waites. She received her Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music under Professor Antoinette Perry, where she was awarded a full-tuition scholarship and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, instructing undergraduate music courses. She is also a member of the national music honor society Pi Kappa Lambda.

As a performer, Danielle has appeared in masterclasses with artists such as Mariangela Vacatello, Stewart Gordon, and Joseph Kalichstein, and has performed as a soloist with the El Camino College Symphony Orchestra after winning the college’s Concerto Competition. In addition to piano, she studied violin beginning at the age of twelve and has performed with ensembles including SCSBOA Honor Orchestra, Colburn School’s Orchestra de Camara, and the Bob Cole Symphony Orchestra.

With over fifteen years of teaching experience, Danielle maintains a full private studio in the South Bay and is an active member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC), the Music Teachers’ National Association (MTNA), and the California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT), where she has served on district boards. Her students consistently achieve high results in state and national exams and competitions including Certificate of Merit, the Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate Program, Bach Festival and SYMF.

Her current artistic and pedagogical focus centers on intergenerational and lifelong music learning, particularly piano education for older adults and seniors. Danielle is committed to nurturing musical growth at every stage and continues to build a career that integrates performance, teaching, and community.
